Divided into small groups by gender and grade
Our KidStuff ministry is designed for children ranging from birth to 5th grade. It is our belief that the Holy Spirit knows no age limit, and therefore ministry to our littlest family members is equally as important as any ministry in our church. Because the cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual development of children ranges widely from birth to 5th graders, we have further divided our ministry into three areas: nursery, preschool, and grade school.
Do you require that parents volunteer?
We ask that every parent volunteer regularly, but it is not required. The volunteer application can be downloaded here
How are your volunteers screened?
Every volunteer must complete a KidStuff Application, interview with a staff member, and sign a consent form for a criminal background check to be run. We complete background checks on all volunteers who work with the children. You can download the application here
What is your security policy?
When parents drop off, they receive a numbered security tag. Their child gets the corresponding numbered tag clipped to their shirt and diaper bag. The parent must present the correct security tag to the teacher at the end of the hour in order to pick up their child. We also use the security tag number to page parents from the service if their child needs them during the hour.
Where do I go if this is my first time?
When you walk in the front doors of the school there will be a KidStuff greeter there to direct you where to go. Just look for someone in a black KidStuff shirt. For a first time visitor, check-in generally takes around 5 min. You can download our registration card here, we also have them at the registration desk.
Is there special parking for parents with children?
Yes! We have a designated section of our parking lot reserved especially for parents with young children. As you enter the front parking lot it will be on your right. Look for signs to further direct you.
What do you serve as snacks?
We provide regular goldfish and water for our preschool and grade school classes, and we provide cheerios for our older nursery classrooms. On rare occasions when we serve other foods, we place clear “Allergy Alert” signs listing all of the foods we will be serving that day. If your child has allergies, please let us know when registering them, and we will include the allergy on their nametag, which is printed each week.
SPECIAL NOTE: So that we may keep this an allergy free environment, we ask that you do not bring in any outside food. You are welcome to bring properly labeled sippy cups, however please leave your snacks at home. Thank you!
What is your sick policy?
We require that a child be free of fever for 24 hours before entering KidStuff. When in doubt, please apply the 'Golden Rule'. Adherence to this policy is important to protect the health of all children in our department.
