The Austin Stone Community Church is a New Testament church existing for the supremacy of the name and purpose of Jesus Christ
The Austin Stone Values:
We immeasurably value the salvation of God’s people, brought about through the cross of Christ. This salvation is a restored, personal, intimate relationship with God. By authenticity and intimacy in prayer, worship, Bible study, and service each believer can enjoy the life of God purchased by the blood of Christ; the very life of worship that man was created for.
The Bible is God’s self-revelation of His Character and His Plan for the redemption and life of His people. We hold the Scriptures to be inerrant, authoritative, and sufficient for life and godliness. Therefore, the Word of God guides each of us into a life of personal holiness in character, purity, and love.
Jesus Christ is our model for ministry. The plan for the redemption of the world, as given by Christ, is to make disciples. Relationships, not programs, are our focus.
The life in Christ is a life in community with other believers. This community is a place of encouragement, care, and accountability. The community of God welcomes all people regardless of race, color, or gender. We hold that the basic building block of this community of faith is the family. While still honoring the individual as complete in Christ, we desire to build Christ-centered families.
Jesus Christ and His Name and Purpose, not charismatic teachers or great music, is the hope we offer. He is the only one worthy of exaltation. Our body is committed to serving Christ in excellence, humility, and authenticity for His sake, not ours. Since Christ is worthy of more praise than we can offer, it is our desire that Christ would be lifted up for all nations and people to see. Therefore, we labor in faith to see the Name and Purpose of Christ go to the ends of the earth.
